Terex forms manufacturing joint venture in India

Terex and the Vectra Group have launched a joint venture to manufacture backhoes, skid steers and excavators in India, the Economic Times of India reported Monday. The new company, Terex Vectra Equipment, is slated to begin production in January. The move is well timed because there is a lot of activity in the Indian construction industry and infrastructure sector, Eash Jaitly, chief executive of Terex Vectra Equipment, told the Economic Times. The Vectra Group is already present in India through its subsidiary, Tatra Trucks India.
