Case Construction Equipment’s 960 trencher is powered by a Case 4T-390 turbocharged engine that delivers 99.5 horsepower, a 16-percent increase over the Case 860 model it replaces. The model features a new, four-speed, shift-on-the-go Hydrashift transmission, making gear changes quick and easy. This transmission also enhances the model’s creep control sensitivity for applications that require precise control.
The 960 features a hydrostatic system that provides infinite speeds between ranges. The bent-axis ground drive motor supplies optimum tractive power in tough ground conditions.
Like all Case 60 Series ride-on trenchers, the 960 uses the patented Case flywheel trencher drive system that delivers power in tough conditions and a heavy-duty unitized chassis mainframe designed to absorb shock loads resulting from torsional twisting inherent in offset trenching and plowing applications.
The unit can power a quad configuration or a combination of a wide variety of attachments, including vibratory cable plows, backfill blades, backhoes, reel carriers, rock wheels and a Case Hydra-Borer.
