Heavy haul trailer manufacturer XL Specialized Trailers will introduce its XL Bottom Dump trailer and showcase two other trailers at ConExpo-Con/Agg.
At booth 2744 of the Gold Lot, the company will unveil the XL Bottom Dump and display the XL 110 Low-Profile Hydraulic Detachable Gooseneck (HDG) trailer and the XL 130 HDG Multi-Axle trailer.
The 12,750-pound XL Bottom Dump trailer has a length of 40 feet and a side height of 9 feet, 2 inches with 10-foot boards.
The upper hopper is made of 10-gauge steel and is 53 inches high with a 96-inch by 193-inch opening, while the single lower hopper, made of ASTM A-572 steel, is 59 inches by 118 inches. Both hoppers have reinforced side walls and an oscillating fifth wheel that pivots as needed with an 18-inch kingpin setting.
The XL Bottom Dump will be available in late fall of 2015.
The XL 110 Low-Profile HDG trailer with 80K web and T1 flange steel as well as apitong decking has an overall length of 53 feet with an overall width of 102 inches and is rated at 110,000 pounds capacity overall and 100,000 pounds in 10-feet concentrated.
The main deck is a full 26 feet long with 13 chain slots, seven bent D-rings per side and heavy-duty, removable swing outriggers. The rear bridge is 14 feet long with a 40-inch loaded deck height. The trailer features three 25,000-pound minimal axles on the rear bridge, spaced at 54.5 inches apart. A 60-inch axle spacing is also available.
The XL 110 also includes bolster chain slots for hauling equipment on the rear bridge, as well as a bucket well in the rear bridge that can load an excavator arm without damaging the cylinder. Bolt-on load-bearing wheel covers are also available.
The XL 130 HDG trailer — made from reinforced 80K web and T1 flange steel and apitong decking — has a rated capacity of 130,000 pounds in 10-feet concentrated, is 12 feet, 5 inches and has a 49-inch fifth wheel height with seven ride height positions. The two-axle jeep also includes a 72-inch flip neck.
The main deck is 9 feet wide and 26 feet long with a ground clearance of 8 inches, and the width can be extended to 11 feet with 12-inch heavy-duty removable swing out outriggers. The main deck has five bent D-rings and four pan style D-rings per side and 31-inch front flip ramps as well as an open boom trough that goes into a 5-foot bucket well with a steel plated bottom on the main deck.
The rear deck is 14 feet, 2 inches long with a loaded deck height of 43 inches and has bolt-on, raised heavy-duty load-bearing wheel covers for parking equipment on. The trailer has an airlift on the third axle to reduce wear and frame reinforcement for the two-axle booster.
