Griffin Hydrualic Submersible PumpGriffin Pump and Equipment, Central Hall booth 40604 and Silver Lot 3 booth 5168

Griffin will feature the company’s line of hydraulic submersible pumps, available in axial flow, material handling and trash handling models. Ranging from 4 to 24 inches, the pumps are designed to handle volumes of water up to 20,000 gpm and head conditions up to 140 feet. The impellers can handle 3 inch solids. The pumps are suitable for high suction lift applications such as sewer bypass jobs where conventional above ground prime-assisted pumps cannot be used due to suction lift limitations, open pumping, sumping, dewatering of construction excavations and flood control. Griffin’s material handling pumps fit in standard manholes for sewer bypass operations and liquids with heavy trash and solids content. The company’s trash pumps are good for general pumping applications, and the axial flow pumps are designed for high flow situations such as dam repairs.

SONY DSCAltec Industries, Gold Lot booth 1827

Altec will unveil multiple new crane options at the show, including new cab design features that enhance safety and operator convenience. Reducing slip, trip and fall hazard exposure on the jobsite, the new cab provides safe access to the crane controls throughout the range of rotation, and the top and front surfaces are shatter-resistant. The 45-ton AC45-127S, a telescopic boom crane, has features including lower winch control, front entry cab and engine start/stop at the tail shelf; all features designed to minimize slipping and falling. A tilt cab feature on the AC45-127S improves visibility while reducing operator neck strain and fatigue. The crane also simplifies maintenance and reduces downtime via an LMI reel mounted at the boom heel and protected by a metal cover. Also on display: AC18-70B and AC23-95B cranes, HD35A pressure digger and LMAP, Altec’s Load Moment and Area Protection System.

Shuttlelift SB Series Gantry CraneShuttlelift, Gold Lot booth 1395

Shuttlelift will display their SB Series, a line of single-beam, rubber-tired mobile gantry cranes. Featuring compact size and smooth maneuverability, the SB Series replaces or can be used in conjunction with existing systems such as overhead bridge cranes. The cranes also offer stability when compared to lifting solutions such as rough-terrain, truck and crawler cranes. The single-beam gantry crane puts the weight directly under the frame of the crane, boosting stability. An articulated pivot trunnion enables the crane’s frame to flex with uneven terrain, and planetary drives ensure smooth movement when accelerating or decelerating. Capacities from 30 to 100 tons are available.

MIDWESTER_MR-7Midwestern Industries, booth 51278

The company will launch the Model MR-7, a double-deck screener that allows materials to be separated from an approximately 1-inch opening on the top deck to a separation down to 1/8-inch opening on the bottom screening deck. This combination with end-tensioned panels enables the unit to handle sand, gravel, crushed stone, coal, slag, topsoil, mulch, ash, recycled asphalt, concrete and more. Complete with a 2-horsepower 230/460-volt three phase 1,760-rpm motor the screener has V-drive components and belt guard and conveyor installation carriage members.
