Hilti has purchased U.S.-based Diamond B, a diamond consumables manufacturer.
Floor and wall saw blades will be manufactured at the U.S.-based production facility while drilling and sawing equipment will be manufactured in Liechtenstein.
The former owner and president of Diamond B, Webb Burnett, will retire from the business once the transition is complete. Andrew Hunt, previously head of Hilti’s Singapore market organizations, will manage the new subsidiary.
