Cummins issues conduct code for suppliers

Cummins has begun implementing a code of conduct for its global supply base detailing its expectations of compliance to certain business and ethical standards. The company says the code is designed to ensure its suppliers not only adhere to those standards but also to the laws of their countries and all other applicable laws, rules and regulations, including those related to labor, worker health and safety and the environment.

The code applies to all businesses that produce goods or provide services for Cummins and any of its subsidiaries, joint ventures, divisions or affiliates.

“Our supplier code of conduct applies Cummins vision, mission, and values to the work in our supply base and is another step in our journey to be the best corporate citizen possible,” said Joe Loughrey, president and chief operating officer. “Cummins values our global supply partners who share our commitment to quality and low cost, and who operate under a philosophy that focuses on integrity and doing the right thing.”
