John Deere has recognized Lord Corporation, a company that designs, manufactures and markets devices and systems to manage mechanical motion and control noise and vibration, as a partner-level supplier in Deere’s Achieving Excellence program.
Members in the program are evaluated annually in several categories, including quality, delivery, cost management and technical support. Deere started the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation process that promotes continuous improvement.
“Our service to John Deere goes beyond simply providing products, rather finding solutions for their unique needs through a collaborative engineering approach,” said Rick McNeel, president of Lord Corporation. “This award recognizes our commitment to continuous improvement and customer service.”
The partner-level status will allow Lord to be given first consideration for new business, and will make it eligible to participate in John Deere’s training program.
