Volvo Construction Equipment has opened its second Volvo Certified Used Center in North America at Alta Equipment in New Hudson, Michigan. The initial VCU, announced last year, is in Las Vegas.

At each center, off-lease Volvo equipment will go through a 140-plus-point inspection and be refurbished to OEM standards using genuine parts. In addition, these machines will receive factory updates and packaged with additional coverages to become a Volvo Certified Used unit.

“Our Certified Used program is the best way to ensure you know exactly what you’re purchasing when investing in a used machine,” says Ryan Sherwood, vice president, retail development at Volvo CE. “This gives the customer a machine with lower total cost of ownership over its lifecycle and confidence that it can withstand the most demanding jobs.”

Each certified machine will come with a 1-year free subscription to ActiveCare Direct telematics service and will qualify for Volvo’s lifetime frame warranty. These machines are also eligible for financing through Volvo Financial Services.

Machines available include Volvo articulated haulers, excavators and wheel loaders and can be viewed online with the inspection report at volvousedce.com.
