JCB adds Miami’s Sigma Equipment to dealer network

Sigma JCB, a division of Sigma Equipment based in Miami, has been added to JCB‘s North American network. The company will sell, rent and service the JCB’s utility and earthmoving equipment, including backhoes, compact excavators, skid steers, compact track loaders, telehandlers, wheel loaders and large excavators.

Boone to support independent rep firms for Haulotte

Haulotte Americas has appointed Shawn Boone to independent sales firm manager to focus on supporting the independent rep firms within their territories.

Boone, 46, joins Haulotte following serving in sales and marketing management positions at Kubota and CNH Industrial. He has a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

Volkswagen Truck & Bus gets a new name ahead of independence from VW

Volkswagen Truck & Bus on Wednesday announced it will change its name to the Traton Group, a move made in preparation for the company becoming a publicly traded entity independent of its Volkswagen parent company.

Volkswagen Truck & Bus is the umbrella company for MAN, Scania, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus and RIO. Volkswagen Truck & Bus also owns a nearly 17 percent stake in Navistar, parent company of International Trucks.

Volvo CE promotes McCall to VP of key accounts

Stephanie McCall has been promoted to vice president of key accounts for Volvo Construction Equipment for the Americas region.

She has been with Volvo for 12 years, previously serving as government, sales and marketing manager. She is replacing Luiz Marcelo Daniel, who now serves as vice president hub Latin America. McCall is based at Volvo CE Americas’ region headquarters in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

Ford, VW mull partnership that could include commercial vehicle development

Volkswagen AG and Ford Motor Company announced today that they are exploring a strategic alliance designed to strengthen each company’s competitiveness and better serve customers globally.

The companies are exploring potential projects across a number of areas, including developing a range of commercial vehicles together to better serve the evolving needs of customers. The potential alliance would not involve equity arrangements, including cross ownership stakes.
