Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association (CSDA) Estimating class

The Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association (CSDA) has scheduled hands-on and classroom courses for every discipline throughout the year.

An Estimating class has been scheduled to take place two days prior to the March 10–12, 2011 CSDA Convention and Tech Fair in Bonita Springs, Fla.

The March 8-9 class outlines the role of an estimator and focuses on estimating sawing and drilling jobs, and is being offered at a reduced rate of $650.

The hands-on training program will then continue in Elyria, Ohio, where CSDA will be holding a Slab Sawing and Drilling 101 class on April 5-7 at the headquarters of Diamond Products. This is an introductory but comprehensive training course, geared towards new operators who want to gain proficiency and productivity in this major concrete cutting discipline.

In the Fall of 2011, CSDA will offer a selection of courses at its training center on the Clearwater campus of St. Petersburg College in Florida. These Operator Certification classes allow students to develop and expand on the skills and knowledge acquired at the 101 level. The classes include Slab Sawing & Drilling 201 on Nov. 14-15, followed by Wall Sawing 201 on Nov. 16-17 and Wire Sawing 201 on Nov. 18-19. There will also be another chance to attend the CSDA Estimating class on Nov. 15-16.

Courses are offered for operators with varying levels of knowledge and experience, enabling owners to send new operators to learn the basics of the industry or more experienced operators to hone their skills and become CSDA Certified Operators. For those who do not have the time or money to attend hands-on training classes, the association has more than 20 online training courses available through its Online Training Website.
