Case introduces CX145C SR and CX235C SR minimum-swing radius excavators

Case has introduced the the CX145C SR and CX235C SR minimum-swing radius excavators, which are designed to reduce fuel consumption, according to our sister site, Equipment World.

When compared to Case’s B Series models, the CX145C SR delivers fuel savings of 9.2 percent and has a 3,659-pound increased operating weight, while the CX235C SR delivers 17.5-percent fuel savings and has a 2,677 -pound increased operating weight.

A Tier 4 Interim engine powers each of the excavators, delivering 100 net horsepower to the CX145C SR and 160 net horsepower to the CX235C SR. The machines offer 4-percent and 7-percent faster cycle times, respectively, as well as 9-percent and 15-percent increases in lift capacity.

Each machine includes three power modes–speed priority, heavy duty and automatic–to enable the operator to choose power and fuel efficiency to match the task at hand. Case’s Intelligent Hydraulic System boosts fuel savings and manages the engine and hydraulics, while and automatic power boost increases power for heavy breakout and lifting applications.

The cabs feature 6 percent more space, 28 percent increased airflow and 20 percent better air conditioning performance.

Visibility has been improved as well. The machine has a low profile, which offers 32 percent better visibility, and the cab includes a roof skylight.

Other machine features include a high definition camera, non-glare monitor, noise reduction and more.

For easy maintenance, Case has extended oil change intervals to 500 hours. Hydraulic oil change intervals are 5,000 hours and bushings have greasing intervals of 1,000 hours. Access to components and lubrication points has been improved, and the excavators have wide service panels.
