Blue Diamond Attachments has rolled out its new Extreme Duty Series 2 Augers, with six models available for skid steers, compact track loaders, excavators, tractors and mini skid steers.
The EX2, EX3, EX4HF, EX5HF EX6HF, EX7HF are designed to deliver maximum torque, efficiency and durability in challenging drilling environments, such as rocky and heavy soils, the company says.
The attachments are constructed with high-grade materials for prolonged life, according to Blue Diamond. Each auger features an Eaton drive motor and comes standard with 2- or 2.5-inch hex shafts.
Depending on the model, the augers deliver a maximum range of 2,630 to 7,189 foot-pounds of torque. The compact, high-torque drive design allows the auger to extend into the hole maximizing drilling depth and productivity, Blue Diamond says.
Additional features include:
- A two-piece shaft design for maximum side load ratings.
- A universal skid steer mount with welded cradle and dual-pin design that allows for natural hanging and stable drilling on the skid steer, mini-skid steer and tractor models.
- An 18x19 adapter plate that provides compatibility with pin-on, pin-grabber or wedge-lock excavator mounts.
- An available telescopic skid steer mount for extended reach and drilling depth.
A variety of bits are available to accommodate different ground conditions and drilling applications, including heavy duty bits, heavy duty bits with cast heads, rock bits and tree bits, along with auger extension and adapters.
