New Holland has expanded its Workmaster Compact Utility Tractor lineup with three new models: the 47-horsepower 45C, the 52-horsepower 50C and the 57-horsepower 55C.
The new models are designed to deliver more power, lift capacity and versatility without stepping up to a full-sized tractor. Upgraded implement packages include a new loader with simultaneous lift-and-curl functions and the 380BC backhoe. All three models support FieldOps connectivity for enhanced dealer support.
The Workmaster 45C, 50C and 55C were developed to support a wide range of tasks for property owners, municipalities and landscape contractors. With available front-end loaders, rear-mounted and backhoe attachments, the tractors can handle:
- Excavation and light construction tasks
- Material handling and loader work
- Rotary cutting and finish mowing
- Livestock feeding
- Property maintenance
- General chores around farms, acreages and municipalities
The turbocharged 3-cylinder, 1.9-liter engines provide up to 49 PTO horsepower, while the tractors' 2,320-pound rear hitch lift capacity at 24 inches behind the ball ends allows operators to run a variety of implements.
A 12x12 synchronized gear transmission or a 3-speed servo-assisted hydrostatic transmission (S-HST) is available. HST models can optionally add an electric cruise control kit.
Operator Comfort
New Holland says ergonomics and safety were key focuses when designing the operator station. The workstation features a wide platform, improved grab rails, suspended pedals, an enhanced instrument cluster and a comfortable seating position.
Powered byFor operators who spend most of their time performing loader work, the optional servo-assisted hydrostatic transmission reduces pedal effort compared with traditional mechanical hydrostatic systems. This helps improve comfort during repetitive forward-and-reverse applications, the company says.
Loader and Backhoe Integration
New Holland developed the new LC Series loaders in tandem with the Workmaster tractors to ensure the implement was performance-matched for material handling applications.
The loaders feature simultaneous lift-and-curl function for smooth and efficient operation, according to New Holland. The 270LC has a maximum lift height of 9.1 feet and a lift capacity of 1,697 pounds.
Also available is the new 380BC backhoe, featuring multiple bucket options, a mechanical thumb option and a dedicated mounting system designed specifically for the platform. The 380BC comes in 12-, 16- (standard), 18- and 24-inch bucket width, each with an 8-foot maximum digging length.
Two hydraulic pumps on the Workmaster tractors provide ample flow for attachments, according to New Holland. This ensures uninterrupted power steering, regardless of the hydraulic load of operation.
For attachments requiring rear remotes, the tractors come with a new stackable rear remote valve slice design, making it easier to tailor the rear remotes to the operator’s needs. A live third-function option kit allows users to operate grapples, 4-in-1 buckets and other advanced hydraulic attachments.
Telematics Connectivity
All Workmaster C Series tractors come telematics-ready from the factory. Customers can add the CM100 modem and connect to FieldOps to access machine tracking, geofencing, machine alerts, preventative maintenance notifications and operating history information.
The Workmaster 45C, 50C and 55C compact tractors are now available for order through authorized New Holland dealers, with delivery expected to begin later this year. The models join the 35-horsepower 35C and the 40-horsepower 40C in the Workmaster C Series lineup.
