U.S. customers now have three Sany telescopic-boom crawler cranes to choose from with the introduction of the new 110-ton- capacity SCA1100TB.
Boasting a five-section full-power boom that extends from 44.9 feet to 174.3 feet, the SCA1100TB can reach a maximum tip height of 236 feet with a fixed jib and deliver up to 25,900 pounds of pull at 378 feet per minute. The SCA1100TB offers boom to jib angles of 0, 15 and 30 degrees and a minimum swing radius of 17.1 feet.
This new crawler crane measures 17.7 feet wide when extended, 56.5 feet long and 11.4 feet tall at the cab and weighs 219,000 pounds. A Cummins L9-C325 diesel engine delivers 325 horsepower and 1,126 foot-pounds of torque.
The three-position side frames allow contractors to adjust the SCA1100TB’s footprint to match the physical space limits of the jobsite. Sany lists typical configurations for the SCA1100TB as follows:
- 61 tons — auxiliary lifting for wind turbines, hook height at 65.6 feet with a 19.7-foot radius
- 25.7 tons — urban utility tunnel construction, hook height at 98.4 feet with a 39.4-foot radius
- 29.7 tons — support for rotary drilling, hook height at 124.7 feet with a 32.8-foot radius
The cab tilts up to 20 degrees. A standard camera package covers the winch, swing, boom tip and rear paired with a 12-inch HD color touchscreen monitor. A new load moment indicator provides operators with real-time graphics on ground pressure, wind speed, radius, boom length, boom angle and diagnostics of operational problems via CAN bus tech.
Powered byThe load hoist winches deliver 378 feet per minute of rope speed on both the main and auxiliary hoists. Both offer maintenance-free, spring-applied and hydraulically released brakes.
The SCA1100TB can travel up to 1.2 mph, and gradeability is up to 45%.
