Caterpillar executive named 2008 outstanding young engineer award by AEM

Kimberly Ingles of Caterpillar is the 2008 winner of the Association of EquipmentM anufacturers (AEM) outstanding young engineer award sponsored by AEM for SAE International.

The AEM award was first presented in 1996. AEM underwrites the award as part of its efforts to promote workforce development and excellence. The candidate must be a degreed engineer from the off-highway or power plant industry with less than 10 years of industry experience.

The award recognizes an outstanding young engineer in the off-highway or power plant industry who demonstrates innovation, teamwork, integrity, community involvement, and leadership in SAE International activities.

Ingles is a 2001 graduate of Michigan Technological University She is currently a design engineer in the large power systems division of Caterpillar. She joined Caterpillar in 2001 as a design engineer for dozer systems within the track type tractors Division. In 2005, she assumed her current role for C12 and C13 marine engines.
