Vermeer offers new brush chipper

Vermeer has introduced its newest brush chipper, the Vermeer BC900XL, which can chip material up to 9 inches in diameter.

Features include a 9-inch x 14-inch feed opening, two shear bars with usable edges, SmartFeed system and a 40-horsepower Kohler Command CH1000 gas engine.

The chipper’s 33-inch-diameter disc rotates at 1400 rpm and features two steel chipper knives with two usable cutting edges each.

Safety features include a long feed table design, bottom feed stop bar and a four-position feed control bar. The bottom feed stop bar is located to make it possible for the operator’s leg to strike the bar and shut off the feed, either intentionally or automatically, in an emergency situation.
