Kenworth has announced three new options for its Class 6 T270 and Class 7 T370 trucks.
First up is an update to Kenworth’s 21,000-pound rated highway AG210L single-axle rear suspension. Kenworth says T270 and T370 models spec’ed out with the AG210L—a two-bag, rear air suspension with a trialing arm design—are now approved for use with a roll-back flatbed body.
Next, you can now opt for CX chrome round convex mirrors on these two models. Kenworth says these mirrors mount to the hood on both the driver and passenger side for an improved side view in order to help eliminate blind corners.
The final new option also gives you a better view around the side of your truck. The T270 and T370 are now available with a newly updated version of a side object detection system from Bendix. Bendix says the updated system has an increased field of view and improved detection capabilities of 20 feet forward and 20 feet backward from the sensor’s location.
The side detection system can also now filter out stationary objects from detection when the truck is moving at a speed greater than 20 miles per hour.
The T270 is rated at 26,000 pounds GVW, is configured for non-CDL operation and is available as a straight truck.
The T370 is available in a GVW range from 26,001 to 66,000 pounds. It’s available as a straight truck or a tractor and Kenworth says it’s designed to handle the work of any vocation.
