If you’ve ever had something stolen then you know the odds of getting it back are pretty slim.

Well, thanks to social media and a local news station, a couple in Tulsa was thrilled to get back their late son’s Chevy truck which had been stolen nearly two weeks ago.

Once the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office learned how much the truck meant to the Greenhaws (it had belonged to their late teenaged son who died in 2004), they took to Twitter asking people to come forward. Local NBC-affiliate KFOR-TV also ran a story.

Two days after posting the missing truck, the sheriff’s office reported that the truck had been found. A man who reported buying the pickup for $120 handed it over. Despite several missing parts, the Greenhaws are grateful to have the truck back.
