Decide to go with synthetic engine oil this time around on the oil change cycle.

Headed to Texas with the truck and wanted to see if switching from conventional 5W-30 to Pennzoil Platinum made any difference in mpg.

Even if it down’t I should be able to recoup the added expense with an extended oil-change interval.

Up until now Bedrock’s 5.7L has had the oil changed every 3,500 miles. Hope synthetic takes that to 7,000 miles.
