Logbook: Added Security
October 17
Just stepped outside and replaced the old receiver lock with one of the new BOLT locks coded for our Super Crew’s ignition key.
I put the ignition key into the BOLT lock, turned the key 3/4-turn and heard a click. That was all it took to code the 5/8″ receiver lock to the key.
BOLT has a number of different locks that can all be coded the same way–so we don’t have to have a keychain loaded with keys and waste time trying to figure out which key fits what lock.
Very nice idea…and BOLT has the same one-key-fits-all replacement latches for toolboxes as well.
