Kenworth has introduced automatic transmission offerings catering to customers in construction and short-haul applications with high horsepower requirements. Kenworth customers can now order the Kenworth T800 with Allison 4000 and 4500 series transmissions when matched with Cummins ISX engines not exceeding 1,650 pounds per foot. According to Allison, the transmissions feature torque converter technology that provides seamless full power shifts, which help vehicles to work within the best duty-cycle speeds faster and more efficiently
