Paccar recently donated $1.5 million to the University of North Texas to benefit research and teaching in the university’s engineering department, and to establish the Paccar Technology Institute. The institute, 550,000 square feet total, will be located north of the main campus on more than 300 acres. The gift will also fund the Paccar Professorship of Engineering at the UNT Research Park College of Engineering in Denton, Texas, where Peterbilt Motors is headquartered.
A Paccar representative will serve as a member of the college’s advisory board to help develop and guide the program.
