Trimble, provider of advanced Global Positioning System technology, recently acquired XYZ Solutions, based in Alpharetta, Ga., in an undisclosed all-cash transaction. XYZ Solutions offers real-time, interactive 3D intelligence software for managing the spatial aspects of a construction project.
With the acquisition of XYZ Solutions, Trimble gains a 3D visualization component to its Connected Construction Site strategy, which is designed to provide significant efficiency improvements through a tighter integration of construction process information.
