John Deere Power Systems and John Deere Engine Works celebrated two milestones when the Waterloo, Iowa, factory had its 30th anniversary recently and also produced its one-millionth engine.
The one-millionth engine was a Tier 2/ Stage II PowerTech 8.1L engine that was installed in a John Deere 9996 cotton picker. A gold key was given to the customer who purchased the cotton picker with the landmark engine inside.
