Attachment Technologies changes name to Paladin

Attachment Technologies Inc. changed its name Aug. 30 to Paladin. The company said the name change reflects its aggressive expansion strategies and goal to become the industry’s largest independent manufacturer of a full line of attachment products. Norwest Equity Partners, a private equity investment firm, acquired Attachment Technologies last October, and has purchased three add-ons – JRB, Genesis Equipment and CAM – for the company during the past nine months. “Paladin is the foundation for the company’s strong brands, which will retain their own identities in the marketplace,” said Bill Van Sant, chairman and chief executive of the company. Webster’s Dictionary defines the word paladin as a distinguished champion or one who fights for a cause.
