Sukut breaks ground on border fence
Tom Jackson | January 7, 2009

Sukut Construction, Southern California’s largest excavating company, has started groundbreaking on a 32 foot wide, 5.2 mile section of road that will become a high-tech, high security fence between Mexico and the United States. If anybody wonders why it’s taken so long to build a border fence, check out the picture at the link. This is pretty rugged territory.

Sukut has been profiled before, in Equipment World magazine, for its industry leading efforts in reducing diesel engine emissions in California, and its cutting edge use of GPS earthmoving equipment.
