Responding to customer demand, SDLG has launched the 3.0-cubic-yard LG948L, designed for a range of construction applications.
Alan Quinn, director of SDLG North America, says customers wanted a wheel loader with a capacity between the 2.4-cubic-yard LG938L and the 4.0-cubic-yard LG959. “The LG948L enables us to fill that gap. The 3-cubic-yard capacity hits the ‘sweet spot.’”
The loader has a 173-horsepower Deutz Tier 4 Interim engine and delivers 27,100 foot-pounds of breakout force.
The unit, which has a 30,200-pound operating weight, also features dry-disc brakes and a ZF transmission. A hydraulic quick coupler with third function hydraulics is standard, and the LG948L has an operator-friendly cab that offers high visibility.
Maintenance is made simple via an easily accessible engine compartment.
