A woman in Venice, Florida, died last week after she struck a bucket truck in a road construction work zone.
The Herald Tribune reported that 24-year-old Riley Manyak was driving on Venice Avenue approaching a work zone the morning of Dec. 29 and didn’t follow the instruction of a construction worker holding a stop sign.
Manyak’s Chrysler SUV then hit the back of a bucket truck that was stopped in the median and the left lane of the highway. The SUV then spun and hit an unoccupied mobile crane truck.
Manyak wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the bucket truck was wearing a seatbelt and wasn’t injured in the crash.
