The price drop follows a week of declining diesel costs.
Most regions of the U.S. saw a decrease in diesel prices, while one region saw an increase in prices.
The only increase this week occurred in the Rocky Mountain region, which experienced a $0.002-per-gallon climb from last week’s prices but a $0.285-per-gallon year-over-year decline.
The greatest decrease this week occurred in the West Coast less California region, which experienced a $0.037-per-gallon fall from last week’s prices and a $0.254-per-gallon year-over-year decline.
Overall, national prices are $0.007 per gallon lower than last week and are $0.161 per gallon lower than a year ago.
