RB Global, the parent company of heavy-equipment auction company Ritchie Bros., reports another quarter of increased revenue and profits for its 2026 fiscal year, though value gains were the lowest for its heavy equipment division.

The company has reorganized its business segments to create the new Heavy Equipment & Transportation division, covering heavy equipment and machinery, commercial transportation assets, and equipment serving the agriculture, forestry and energy industries.

In this new segment, gross transaction value — which represents the combined value of all transactions and their associated charges — was up 13% in the second quarter to $2.1 billion, the smallest percentage increase among RB Global’s three business segments. Growth in this segment came primarily from acquisitions and was partially offset by declines in transaction volumes driven by a more cautious customer environment.

Looking at the number of Heavy Equipment and Transportation lots sold, RB Global reported 200,00 lots, a 7% year-over-year increase. This was again the smallest percentage increase among RB Global’s business segments.

For the second quarter, 28,297 used commercial construction machines were sold in the U.S., according to Fusable’s EDA data. This represents a 3.9% year-over-year increase from 27,242 machines sold in the second quarter of 2025 (EDA is owned by Fusable, parent company of Equipment World).

RB Global’s Automotive division brought in $2.5 billion in gross transaction value in the second quarter of this year, a 13% year-over-year increase.

Consolidated gross transaction value for the quarter was up 11% to $4.7 billion, while service revenue — generated from fees and commissions among all business segments — was up 5% in the second quarter to $933 million.

RB Global reported $143.6 million in net income for the quarter, up 31% from the second quarter of 2025.

Looking forward at the rest of its 2026 fiscal year, RB Global forecasts gross transaction value growth of 9% to 11% (previously 6% to 9%), while adjusted earnings before interest and taxes are still expected to come in between $1.49 billion and $1.55 billion.
