After more than 20 years at the helm, Steelwrist co-founder Stefan Stockhaus will step down as CEO. He will transition to a role as industrial adviser to Swedish investment company Solix, the owner of Terratech Group, the parent company of Steelwrist and SVAB Hydraulik.

Stockhaus will be succeeded by Swedish industrial executive Jon Lind. Lind has been named CEO of both Steelwrist and Terratech, giving him additional control over sister company SVAB Hydraulik, a manufacturer of hydraulic control systems. Lind has spent his career in a variety of industrial leadership roles at CTEK and Dafo Vehicle Fire Protection, among other businesses.

The planned leadership transition will not result in a change in principal ownership by Solix, with the company saying, “Steelwrist and the Terratech Group are in a strong growth phase, with ambitions for continued international expansion.”

Stockhaus founded Steelwrist with Markus Nilsson in 2005 and has served as the company’s CEO ever since. While handover period has already begun, Lind will officially become CEO on November 1. Stockhaus will support Lind during a six-month transition period to ensure continuity.

In his role as Industrial Advisor to Solix, Stefan will contribute his experience of building and developing international industrial companies.

“I would like to extend my warm and sincere thanks to all employees, partners and customers for your commitment and trust over the years. Together with you, we have built Steelwrist into what it is today,” said Stockhaus. “I feel very confident handing over to Jon. He is down-to-earth, action-oriented and humble, and I am convinced that he has the qualities required to lead Steelwrist and Terratech forward. He has my full support, and I look forward to following and contributing to the continued development in a different role,” says Stefan Stockhaus.

Lind will lead Steelwrist’s next phase of growth, with an emphasis on international markets. Commenting on his approach, Lind said: “I want to start by listening and understanding what our customers need, what we do really well and where we can improve. Developing organizations with culture at the center is something I care deeply about. Together with our employees, customers and partners, I want to continue developing our products and businesses to create even greater value for our customers.”
