Roadtec’s Shuttle Buggy MTV changes to hydraulic drive

Roadtec’s Shuttle Buggy material transfer vehicle (MTV) now uses hydraulic motors to control each wheel on the machine, making it easier to shift and operate. The hydraulics will encounter less wear, making the system more durable.

The Shuttle Buggy MTV remixes segregated asphalt mix and loads it into the paver and delivers mix with a temperature differential of 7 degrees Celsius or less. According to a WASSHTO study, this assures the possibility of even compaction to specified density, requiring less maintenance and longer life.
