John Deere has doubled the warranty period for its service and repair parts from one to two years or to 4,000 hours, whichever comes first.
The new warranty period for John Deere Original Equipment took effect November 1 and begins at the purchase date for parts and services in the U.S. and Canada. Parts and services purchased before November 1 remain under the old warranty period.
The new warranty also includes dealer labor for the first 12 months, with parts-only coverage for the remaining year. “Eligible parts installed by customers or other service providers will receive parts-only coverage,” according to Deere.
The company is also offering other parts options for customers, including remanufactured components and “Essentials by John Deere” parts that are “value-focused” for older equipment. The Reman and Essentials warranty terms remain the same, but the company did increase Turf parts to a one-year warranty.
The company has also enacted a “Run It Your Way initiative” to expand access to tools and information for customers who maintain and repair their own equipment. The company offers the resources through its John Deere Operations Center, Equipment Mobile, Shop.Deere.com and Operations Center Pro Service.

“Our customers expect equipment and parts they can depend on, along with the flexibility to make decisions that are right for their operations,” said Denver Caldwell, vice president for Deere aftermarket and customer support. “We’re continuing to invest across the aftermarket experience to deliver on that expectation, from strengthening our parts warranty to expanding parts choice and repair options, all backed by the support of our John Deere dealer network and focused on delivering greater value throughout the life of their equipment.”
