Titan International has released a new tire line for forestry equipment called ForestEdge.
The company says the tires offer a lower-cost yet durable alternative for feller bunchers, skidders and other forestry machines.
“With the Titan ForestEdge, we set out to provide a tire that not only stands up to some of the worst conditions but also helps boost productivity and lower total operating costs,” says Matt Werstein, Titan product and engineering R&D manager for OTR.
Features on the tires include a heavy-duty steel-belt package engineered to withstand rocks, stumps and debris and a rubber compound for consistent wear and prolonged tire life, the company says.
Titan adds that the tires complement its Goodyear Logger Lug line.
ForestEdge tires are available for order in sizes 30.5L-32 and DH35.5L-32 at Titan dealers. Pre-orders are also being taken for size 24.5-32, with expected delivery in the third quarter.
