Kubota unveils SVL95-2s compact track loader with more powerful hydraulics, improved cab

A year after introducing the company’s first ever skid steer loaders at the show, Kubota has launched the SVL95-2s compact track loader with more power and an upgraded cab at World of Concrete 2016.

Powered by a Tier 4 Final turbocharged diesel engine pushing 96 horsepower, Kubota says the SVL95-2s boasts an operating capacity of 3,200 pounds.

Improved hydraulics

The company says this loader’s headline upgrade is its high-flow hydraulic system which features five presets, allowing the operator to adjust flow rates with the push of a button.

Flow rates can be adjusted from 5 gallons to 40 gallons per minute, a 19-percent improvement over previous Kubota CTLs. These adjustments can be made at line pressures of 3,553 psi.

Up to three hydraulic circuits can be used in parallel, allowing operators to use the loader, bucket and a device like an auger or drill at the same time with no performance decrease.

Bucket breakout force on the SVL95-2s is 7,961 pounds and the machine features a vertical lift of 40.7 inches.

Kubota says the machine can work an eight- to 10-hour day without needing to refuel thanks to its 28.8-gallon tank, and can work four or five days between a DEF refill thanks to its 5-gallon DEF tank.

Cab upgrades

Kubota says with this latest loader, heavy focus has been placed on creating the most comfortable cab in its segment.

The cab features a wider entrance, high-back suspension seat and a hand/dial throttle control making jobs like trenching or snow-blowing, where constant engines speeds are necessary, easier.

An enclosed cab is an available option and comes radio-ready from the factory with an antenna, speakers and a mounting bracket. And because the machine is six inches longer, Kubota moved the radiator fan further to the vehicle’s rear which has reduced interior noise.
