The National Demolition Association 2012 Convention is slated for March 10-13 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.
“We chose San Antonio as the site of our next convention because it gives our members and exhibitors a completely new experience of the history and culture of this historic city and the state of Texas,” said Michael R. Taylor, CAE, National Demolition Association (NDA) executive director. “We also made the decision to hold the convention at a classic convention center, another first for the NDA.”
The Grand Hyatt on the Riverwalk will serve as the NDA convention headquarters hotel. The Riverwalk – one of the nation’s most visited tourist venues with shops and restaurants dotted along the placid San Antonio River – is connected by skybridge to the Grand Hyatt. The NDA’s legendary Monday Night Theme Party will be like none other in the Association’s history. It will include an indoor rodeo with PBR riders, a full Texas barbeque, armadillo races, two country Western bands, line dancing, and a Gilly’s-style mechanical bull ride.
Each year, the National Demolition Association convention brings together a wide cross section of professionals involved in the demolition process, including those involved in demolition contracting, general contracting, civil engineering, recycling, and other industries. The convention includes educational programs, entertainment, and networking opportunities for both Association members and other attendees.
