County engineer cuts bridge cost building beams in house

A county engineer in Seneca, Ohio saved the taxpayers $45,000  by building a series of 20 foot bridge beams in-house. He used scrap materials and sandblasted old curb and gutter forms to make to concrete molds for the bridge beams. The work was done by a mix of county employees and local trade school students.
