The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) is hosting a forum, “Managing Transportation Projects to Avoid Legal Pitfalls,” April 15-16 at its headquarters in Washington, D.C., to help educate industry professionals about legal pitfalls that may be avoided with proper risk management and preparation.
The forum is being offered through the ARTBA Foundation’s “Transportation Builder Institute,” which provides customized professional development programs for industry executives.
The program will cover the following:
- Developments and trends;
- Ethics issues, false claims;
- Risk management and dispute resolution;
- Environmental compliance;
- Delay and impact claims; and
- DBE/WBE-related issues.
The program will feature presentations from these leading law firms: Peckar & Abramson; Watt, Tieder, Hofar & Fitzgerald; Kilpatrick Stockton; Beveridge & Diamond PC; Holland & Knight; Coats Rose; and The Law Office of Lawrence J. Joseph.
The forum costs $495 for ARTBA members.
Attendees are eligible to earn up to 6.25 ARTBA professional development hours.
