Deutz’s engine sales on the rise

Deutz has announced a 21 percent increase in its engine sales, with 237,293 engines sold in 2006. The company’s total revenue also rose 13 percent, and new orders placed in 2005 went up 20 percent.

Last year, the company’s capital expenditure jumped 27 percent to $85.8 million, compared to $67.6 million spend in 2005. The increase can be attributed to the expansion of capacity for compact engines at production sites and the development of capacity to manufacture the new TCD 2013 4V commercial engine, as well as the Ulm facility’s expansion to become Deutz’s headquarters for air-cooled engine production.

Deutz’s primary office located in Cologne-Porz was also finished in 2006.
