FMI recently released its 2007 U.S. Markets Construction Overview, predicting continued growth for the industry with an optimistic forecast of a 2.2 increase for total construction put in place in 2007. FMI estimates growth for non-residential construction markets could possibly reach 9 percent overall and almost all sectors, with the exception of religious structures, will be well ahead of the growth rate for gross domestic product this year.
