Baldor Electric, manufacturer of industrial electric motors, plans to expand two of its manufacturing facilities. The company’s Columbus, Miss., location moved to a new plant that doubles the size of the old facility, with 350,000 square feet. The Columbus plant will produce cast iron motors and alternators for generators that are made in Baldor’s Oshkosh, Wisconsin plant.
The Wisconsin plant will also expand with an addition of 100,000 feet. The expansion will allow for extra storage space, which was previously off site.
