The SuperScreed, from Multiquip, features a sectional truss frame and a choice of several strike tube lengths that allow it to strike off panels from 12 to 50 feet. It requires only one operator, two laborers and two concrete placers for maximum results.
The SuperScreed is powered by a removable hydraulic power unit and either a 20-horsepower gas engine or a 28-horsepower Vanguard diesel engine. A wrap-around steel frame features convenient lifting points. Standard 50 watt halogen lights provide improved visibility for night work.
Multiquip’s Whiteman division recently introduced two new walk-behind power trowels. The JA-4-5H and BA-4-8H models each have four blades and feature a height-adjustable 2-inch diameter handle. The handle’s tubular design and specialized throttle control system improve operator comfort and allow operating speed selection with the twist of a wrist.
Both models feature a 22-percent increase in gearbox oil capacity for cooler operation in hot climates. The JA-4-5H has a 36-inch ring diameter and a 5.5-horsepower engine. An 8-horsepower engine powers the BA-4-8H. It has a 46-inch ring diameter and 60 to 125 rotor rpm.
