A 44-year-old man was arrested while planning to build himself a home using thousands of dollars worth of stolen construction material, according to the Ottawa Sun.
Tactical officers executed a search warrant and recovered windows, doors, cabinets, lumber and tools from the man’s trailer — his home until he could complete his dream house. Police also found a loaded .25-caliber pistol and a plastic bag containing what police think is cocaine.
The arrest came after an investigation into a series of thefts from upscale housing developments in the area.
