Bridgestone names new president

Bridgestone has announced that Shigeo Watanabe, chairman of the company’s board, chief executive and president will be stepping down. Shoshi Arakawa, presently executive vice president, will succeed him after the general meeting of shareholders on March 30, with Watanabe continuing to serve as a board member.
