Sized for 70-ton excavators, the new GXP 1500 shear from Genesis provides 2,600 tons of cutting force at 5,000 psi with a 44-inch jaw opening and throat depth. Compared to previous models, a longer cylinder stroke produces 10 percent more power at the throat and piercing tip and a 20-percent increase in shear force at the location of the new offset apex. Bolt-on wear parts plus durable steel piercing tips and front wear plates reduce downtime.
