Wheeled dozer ups productivity, lowers costs

Caterpillar’s new 814F wheel dozer comes with a cleaner, fuel- efficient, 240-horsepower Tier II-compliant diesel engine and a host of improvements designed to boost productivity and lower operating costs. The transmission gives you four forward and four reverse speeds. Electronic clutch pressure control and control throttle shifting improve shift quality and reduce torque spikes. A throttle lock feature acts like cruise control on a car and a decelerator pedal enhances maneuverability. The 814F has a standard straight blade with box-section construction and a heat-treated moldboard and steel edges for long life. The machine weights 47,877 pounds and offers a blade capacity of 3.49 cubic yards.
