As the first single cylinder industrial engines with electronic injection and control, the Hatz B and D series engines have been certified as Tier 4 Final by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

The company says that the 15-horsepower Hatz 1D90E is the most powerful single-cylinder diesel in the world. The Hatz 1B50E, 1B30E and 1B30VE engines range from 6 to 11 horsepower respectively with compact dimensions.

The D-series engines can be freely configured with up to four different power take-off points on a single engine, with multiple options for customization. The B series engines are designed for mobile and stationary use with compact installation dimensions and low weight applications.

Hatz, a German manufacturer from the Bavarian region,  is designing these engines with digital data capabilities to communicate performance characteristics  and provide remote diagnostics and maintenance capability. The engines are geared towards applications such as  vibrating plates for construction machinery or power generators for light equipment.
