The Kobelco SK550DLC-10 is purpose-built to tear down and dismantle multi-story buildings. With a maximum reach of 90 feet, the unit has a three-piece separate boom demolition front and high-reach front options. The separate boom simplifies the demolition of lower and underground levels, while the ultra-long attachment allows the unit to demolish levels up to nine stories high. In addition, a 3-ton crusher tool on the ultra-long attachment and 5.3-ton crusher tool on the separate boom can be added.
The integrated two-part counterweight features a part that forms the case in which the second part is housed, giving users increased transportation options and easing assembly and disassembly.
The Kobelco SK850LC-10 excavator is the largest of the company’s Generation 10 models and offers a 90,598-pound dynamic bucket digging force. The 185,700-pound unit is powered by a 510-horsepower Hino engine. While working in ECO-mode, the machine offers a 17 percent fuel economy improvement, compared to its predecessor.
