Here’s a chance to match your trowel skills with other operators from across the nation.

At World of Concrete next month, Wacker Neuson will hold its sixth annual Trowel Challenge competition. But be warned: the competition is tough; last year’s contest had more than 150 competitors.

The ride-on trowel challenge tests your entire range of speed and accuracy skills as you maneuver around an obstacle course that weaves throughout a 2,400-square-foot slab.

At last year’s event, the contestants with the 10 fastest times from the preliminaries advanced to the finals. The top 10 finalists then each had one run through the course and that time was added to their preliminary time.

Wyatt Molzahn, owner of Wyatt Molzahn Construction out of Worland, Wyoming, won the competition last year. For his two-run time of 58.708 seconds, he won a customized CRT 48-35VX ride-on trowel and a trip for two to the Carribbean.

World of Concrete 2014 runs from January 21-24. In the meantime, you can play the Trowel Challenge arcade game on Facebook by clicking here.
