Trimble has rolled out a new dual DA2 GNSS receiver configuration of Trimble Earthworks grade control for excavators, giving small- to mid-size contractors a lower-cost point of entry to 3D machine control.
The new DA2 GNSS receiver expands Trimble’s portfolio of on-machine technology, delivering centimeter to sub-meter accuracy. It includes the Trimble ProPoint positioning engine, which is engineered to provide accurate positioning even in challenging environments such as near trees and buildings.
The new configuration is available via Trimble Works subscription, which includes Trimble WorksManager, further lowering upfront costs, the company says. It supports all global and regional GNSS systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, NavIC/IRNSS, SBAS on L1/L2/L5 and MSS/L-Band. Weighing less than 12 ounces, the DA2 is Trimble’s smallest and lightest RTK-capable GNSS receiver, providing a portable yet rugged option.
“We know that every minute of downtime or poor performance equals lost revenue for our customers, so we are pleased to announce a full 3D machine control solution available as a subscription that enables cost-sensitive customers to improve productivity and profitability. This means our customers can adopt technology earlier, scale faster and improve productivity across more machines,” says Cameron Clark, senior director, earthmoving solutions at Trimble.

Trimble Earthworks with DA2 GNSS receivers will be available in mid-Q4 2026 via the Trimble dealer network.
